Mars need mom

It's school holiday. I applied leave to bring Chen Chen to watch Walt Disney animation Mars needs moms at Tampines mall. The show is about how a 9 year old boy Milo went to Mars to save his mom and learned to appreciate her when she was nabbed by Martians who plan to steal her mom-ness for their own young. I bought a packet of pop corn from NTUC supermarket before the show started. I told Chen Chen to put the pop corn in my bag but he refused to. We were stopped by the theater staff at the entrance. I asked if I was expected to throw away my pop corn then the staff let me in. Phew!


After the show I brought Chen Chen to a playgound next to the food court.

We have been to Tampines mall numerous times but didn't know that there is a playgound.

Chen Chen enjoyed playing at the playground.

There were quite many children at the playgound.

There is a TV room next to the playground.

There is a TV in the room showing cartoons. There are also chairs and tables for children.

Chen Chen played hopscotch in the TV room.

Chen Chen sat down and watched his favorite cartoon - whatelse but Tom and Jerry.

Tornado in my room

It's homework time for Chen Chen. What is he doing?He is doing his monkey dance again.As usual, Png Png follows whatever Chen Chen does. Look at the havoc that my boys created.
It seems like a tornado just swept through my room. What a mess!

Png Png is 3!

Time flies. My baby Png Png is 3! He is no longer a baby. I simply can't accept that. We celebrated his birthday by going for a buffet lunch at Sakura at Tampines Safra. Sakura is our usual and favorite place for celebrating any occassion (more for Chen Chen actually)

They enjoyed seeing me from upstairs and called for me. Funny...

As usual, I baked cup cakes for Png Png.

My sister in law made agar agar for Png Png. We wanted to use a bunny with candles and birthday present mould but Png Png chose this mould

Lap booking class Term 1 lesson 7

Thought we were late for the class. The previous lesson was still on when we arrived Phew!

We did

1. Sang Good Afternoon song

2. Shirley read the book "A Color of his own". She asked the tots to read with her. She asked where is the tiger when she read the page where chameleon stand on a tiger's tail. She said young children see picture as a whole. They can't imagine the missing part of the picture unlike older children. Sometimes older children draw part of a picture instead of the full picture as they can imagine the missing part.

Upon reading "They live happily ever after", Shirley asked "Are they happy tomorrow?" She said happy ever after means they are happy in the morning, when sleeping, when playing, happy everytime

3. Shirley gave out a sheet of paper title Colors, colors everywhere. Tot had to pick magic ink of the corresponding color and color in the box next to the color. Parents to ask tot what they can think of that is of that color. Then tot to draw picture of the object. Png Png answered pear for green color Shirley praised him. He was overjoyed

4. Shirley put 4 nobs of different colors - red, yellow, blue, green in a row. She taught tots position of the nobs - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Then she asked the older tot Thomas and Png Png to pick the 1st nob, 2nd nob, etc

5. Tot collected a worksheet Where is the pretty chameleon. Parents to teach tot positioning. Tot to pick up the color of the magic ink in the instruction in the worksheet and color the position of the chameleon in the worksheet
