Lap booking class term 1 lesson 8

This week we attended lap booking class on Saturday again

Today we did

1. Sang Good afternoon, Row Row Row your boat songs
2. Teacher Shirley got a tub of water and items like rubber band, can food, ball, metal spoon, baby's feeding spoon, disposable soup spoon, coin, baby's scissors, wooden pencil, lego block, popsicle stick and paper clip. She put the item one by one slowly into the tub to teach what is sink , float and partially submerged. She asked the tots to guess whether an item will sink or float after she put a few items.

3. Teacher Shirley gave out a list with items she used to demostrate sink and float concept. Each tot put an item into the tub then tick in the list whether the item sink or float. Teacher Shirley said for Png Png's age, most important thing is to get him to observe the demo. Png Png paid full attention to this demo. No problem at all with this part of the lesson.

4. Teacher Shirley showed picture of engine, anchor, propeller and tugboat and said something about the picture - Engine moves ship and produced hmmm..... sound; anchor is lowered when ship stops to keep the ship from drifting; propeller moves ship; tyre ring on tugboat is to prevent it from knocking against the ship it pulls or pushes
5. Each tot was given a picture of a boat and crayon to color window, hull, funnel of an ocean liner and the sea. This is for the cover page of the lap book. Png Png didn't want to do the coloring. He prefers paint, color pencil and magic ink to crayon.

Png Png's 2nd birthday falls on Sunday. We celebrated his birthday with my family members

Before we left for tea, the boys were playing with toy cars and multi-storey car park toy. Png Png observed Chen Chen turned the nob to elevate the toy cars.

I let Png Png wear my favorite romper with the embroidery of I Love Mummy wordings but the romper is too big for him. The size of the romper is for 12-18months. Gosh! How small is my boy

Change Png Png into his favorite romper. He calls it dog's butt romper. Whenever I let him choose an attire from his closet, he chooses this romper

It's actually the adults and Chen Chen who enjoyed the meal. The birthday boy doesn't like the sushi that I offered him. Good thing I brought home cooked food for him

I baked cup cakes for Png Png. Wanted to order durian cake for him since he love to eat durian but the cake comes with fresh cream. Png Png is allergic to dairy product. So, decided to bake cup cake without butter and milk for him

Lap booking class term 1 lesson 7

We joined the Saturday lapbooking class for this lesson as tomorrow is Png Png's birthday. We will be going for high tea with my family members at Pariss International Seafood buffet restaurant in Marina Square. I understood from Teacher Shirley that tots from Saturday class are 12 months older than Png Png


Today we did
1. Sang Good afternoon song
2. Teacher Shirley gave out 2 different colors dots sticker and word boat for tots to paste the dots sticker on the word. Png Png love pasting dots sticker. He concentrated and finished pasting dots sticker on the letter "b" before running away. He came back to paste dots sticker on letter "a " Teacher Shirley gave the other tots 2 different colors magic ink to draw pattern on the other 2 letters but didn't give to Png Png. I had to take the pen MYSELF!! Argh........ I wonder if she taught Png Png won't be able to do it and didn't give the magic ink to him. Guess she felt bad so guided Png Png to draw with magic ink within letter "o" and letter "t". Suprisingly Png Png drew within the line.


3. Teacher Shirley gave out an A4 size paper with 8 different boats and 8 small pieces of rectanglular paper with the name of the boats. Tot had to match the name on the rectangular paper with the name on the boat picture. Png Png didn't want to do this at all. Even Teacher Shirley couldn't get him to do it.
4. Teacher Shirley gave out an A4 size paper with the same 8 boat picture printed in portrait orientation. Parents had to describe the boats to the tots and guide tots to join the word to the picture with pencil.

I couldn't get Png Png to do this either. Neither could Teacher Shirley. He kept running away. He stayed at the table when Teacher Shirley was talking to him. When Teacher Shirley walked away, he peeped to check that Teacher Shirley was not looking at him before running away. Very cute to see his action hahaha.... When Teacher Shirley got him back, he tested her by not obeying. Boy, he does that when he is familiar with a person

Tampines 1

Believe it or not, today is the first time we went to Tampines 1 since it was opened on 9th April 2009

I took a quick roam to explore this 5 storeys + 1 basement level mall

Hubby stayed with the boys at the basement level while I explored this new generation mall
