Home Teaching - Feathers for Lunch

It took me several visits to the library before I could get hold of this book Feathers for Lunch.   I wanted to do a lapbook on this literature as Png Png likes cats.
Most of the materials for our lapbook were extracted from http://www.homeschoolshare.com/feathers_for_lunch.php

Lion dance at Rivervale Crest

There was Lion Dance performance outside the club house for Lunar New Year celebration event.   I was busy preparing to send Chen Chen to keyboard lesson.   So, I missed the performance.   Hubby brought the 2 boys to watch the Lion Dance performance but did not manage to snap any picture.
By the time I got to the club house, the Lion Dance performance was over.   I only managed to snap the lucky number left behind by the Lion Dance performance
There was lao yu sheng but we missed it too as we had to send Chen Chen to keyboard lesson.   After Chen Chen's keyboard was over, the Lunar New Year celebration was over as well.

Meet Angry Birds round the world in Singapore Changi Airport

Tonight we went to our frequent visit - Singapore Changi Airport.   At Terminal 3 departure hall, there were a big Merlion topiary and miniature figurines of the world's greatest landmarks -  the Statue of Liberty, Taj Mahal, the Pyramids of Egypt, Temple of Heaven and other famous world landmarks complete the travel road map around the world.    There were Angry Birds riding on hot air balloons and blimps decorated with blinking lights on the center of the iconic world's landmarks.

Standing at 8 metres tall, the grand Merlion topiary was beautifully decorated with colourful petals and lined with bright lights is a magnificent sight, befitting of its status as Singapore's most iconic symbol

Initially Png Png refused to take picture.  He covered his face with his hands
At last, my naughty baby posed happily with his favourite Angry Birds characters.

Here comes the big fan of Angry Birds

He was so happy that he even danced

Hugged the Yellow Bird
There were special photo kiosks for visitors to take photos.   Visitors can receive soft coy of the photo they had taken by keying in their email address.

Trip to Batam - fourth day

We are going back to Singapore today.   The boys wanna enjoyed the lovely pool before going back.
Png Png played by the pool side

Png Png and I

There was a slide by the side of the pool which attracted children.   But the water wasn't clear.   Not ideal for swimming.  Chen Chen liked to slide down from the slide.
Chen Chen was cautious initially

Performing stunt thereafter

The hotel manager was very nice to arrange transport to send us to the Sekupang ferry terminal.   While waiting for the transport, Png Png visited the last place he couldn't miss - the mini playground.
