Today we
1. Sang Good Afternoon song. S hirley always sang good afternoon song addressed to each tot, then asked tot who else? Mummy and daddy. Then who was being left out? Teacher Shirley. She said tot sang without knowing what's happening. Asking them who was left out made them think what they were doing and the sequence
2. Shirley read the book "One Ted falls out of bed"
3. Each tot collected a booklet and 9 pieces of pictures to paste the pictures in the booklet in the sequence either from 1 to 9 or 9 to 1 based on memory of the sequence of the pictures in the story book. I asked Png Png to collect a purple color booklet. For the first time, he was very fast to collect the booklet and the pictures as well. He always sit still then collect what's left behind.
Shirley said counting from 9 to 1 is more advance than counting from 1 to 9. I let Png Png choose the counting sequence. He chose to count from 9 to 1. Png Png refused to count the number in each picture though he remembered the sequence in the book. Parent to described the picture of the troll to let tot pick up picture of troll as it is different from the picture in the story book
Parent to write the number and let tot trace. We didn't have time to do this
4. The plate and hand print tot painted last week was returned to tot together with 2 black round stickers and ear shape cut out to make a frog
5. Shirley read a book "Count down"
6. Sang Good Bye song
I made a cover page for this lap book with Bingo Dauber art. I let Png Png choose the color of sticker he wanted and pasted the number of each color of sticker he wanted. After he finished pasting the sticker. I asked him to count the number of sticker he pasted for each color and I wrote the number he counted. He counted all the colors correctly. From here, I knew that Png Png knows counting. This cover page is the one that I am most satisfied with so far
