Hubby brought the boys to the outdoor gym as the playground was under refurbishment

Bright Tots Campus term 2 lesson 2

Today Png Png woke up early at 7+am. As expected, he fell asleep on the way to his class. He sneezed and had mucus flow during the lesson. Gosh! He wasn't that bad (slight ah choo) before the lesson. Probably he caught a cold during his nap in the MRT

I gave teach Shirley 2 cup cakes as teacher's day gift. She looked surprised and happy

A mummy in the class asked me how old is Png Png. I told her he is 17 month. She was very surprised and said so it's kor kor not di di. Her son is a month younger than Png Png. I said Png Png looks small. Teacher Shirley was so nice to help me out saying her sons are very petite too.

What we did in this less

1. Sing good morning song, I am special, twinkle twinkle little star, I am a teapot

2. Flash card on colors and shapes

3. Teacher Shirley showed a book and point out what are the items that are circle in shape

4. Teacher Shirley gave the tots different sizes of balls - beach ball, tennis ball, pin pong ball. Parents are to roll the ball to the tots and the tots roll the ball back to their parents. Then roll the ball to the other tots This game trains hand eye coordination. It reinforce tot's developing sense of personal power with the motion of stopping a moving ball

5. The tots were given a bowl, 2 cups, leaf shape pasta and soya bean. They have to sort leaf shape pasta and soya bean in 2 different cups by picking up pasta and soya bean from the bowl

6. Teacher Shirley read a Chinese story book. All the tots moved away. Png Png fussed and wanted to eat his biscuit

7. Tods were given a milk bottle cap and a cork to stamp (with red water color) on a piece of paper. This teaches the relationship between cause-and-effect -> dab bottle cap/cork, stamp on paper gets an image on the paper. Bottle cap produces a circle outline image where else cork produces a filled-in circle image

8. Tots were given red, yellow and blue circle shape sticker to paste on a piece of paper with red, yellow and blue circle9. Sing good bye song

Bright Tots Campus term 2 lesson 1

After a month's break, new term of the lesson at Bright Tots Campus started today This is a totally new class. All the kids from the previous term did not continue except Png Png. Again, it is a boy predominant class. There are 3 boys including Png Png and 2 girls

This lesson we did

1. Sing good morning song, I am special, twinkle twinkle little star, I am a tea pot

2. Teacher Shirley read a story book title Busy Bus

3. Each tot was given 4 square piece with differnt faces of people. Parents were to describe the different features of people face to the tot

4. Each tot was given a hard carboard bus. The bus comes in yellow, blue, red color. The tots had to put the square piece of people face on the window of the bus

5. Teacher Shirley showed 1 piece of 2 pieces puzzle of a train, bus and a car She asked the tots which one is a bus then passed the puzzles around

6. Flash cards on colors

7. Each tod was given an ice cube to hold in the hand to feel the ice cube. This is to teach the concept ice melt becomes water, what is cold

8. The tots were given cubes of different sizes to feel then 4 piece of cubes each to stack up the cubes I was surprised Png Png stacked the cubes. At home, he either topples the cubes which I stacked or bring knocks 2 cubes against each other

9. Each tot got a piece of square shape color paper (blue or yellow) Parents had to fold the color paper into half to form a triangle or fold in any shape. As usual, Png Png crushed the paper

10. Each tod got 4 colored ice cream sticks, a piece of A4 size plain paper and glue to paste the ice cream sticks on the paper to form a square

Png Png likes this toy very much It's an eductional toy with buttons that have the figure of shapes (circle, square, triangle) , numbers (1,2,3) , transportation (train, boat, bus), animals (bird, money, tiger, duck), musical instrument (saxophone, cello, drum, piano). When press on the button, it produces sound of the figure on the button. It's a very good toy.
