Melbourne holiday - 20 Sep

It rained in the morning. Gosh, we will be going to Lake Mountain to play snow. Phew! Rain stopped early morning.

My boys, hubby included had a good sleep. They woke up late. Hubby went to pick up the rented car but forgot to bring some documents. So, had to make another trip back and forth. It was closed to half past ten by the time he came back. The boys were complaining. Thought we could set off Alas, hubby had some problem with GPS. Hubby made numerous calls to contact Hertz to check on how to use the GPS.

It was almost noon time by the time we set off. The way up Lake Mountain was winding. I felt nausea. Png Png was fussing at the back seat. I kept turning back to talk to him. This made my nausea worse. Luckily he fell asleep and I fell asleep too

Png Png was not cooperative. It took him about 45 minutes to finish his lunch. By the time he finished his lunch, we were left with 45 minutes in Lake Mountain. We had to leave at 4pm and get back to Melbourne before the sun set at 6pm.

All of us had a great time. A shame that we only had 45 minutes here. What an exorbitant trip. We spent so much on car rental, toll fee, entrance fee and toboggan rental just for that 45 minutes. Never mind. The most important thing is all of us had a great time and enjoyed it very much. Both boys wanna come again next year

Melbourne holiday - 19 Sep

We arrived Melbourne airport at around 6:20am in the morning. We took an airport bus from Mebourne airport to Easy Stay apartment in St Kilda. I checked the timetable on line at http://www.fapas.com.au/timetable. The earliest pick up was 7:05am which was too rush for us with 2 kids. So, we waited about 2 hours for 9:15am pick up. Then we discovered that the public transport time table in Australia is not as strict as Europe. We should have checked if the 7:05am bus was still there after we checked out instead of wasting our time waiting at the airport. Besides, my boys were sleeping and didn't eat on the plane. They were hungry. Both of them were eating biscuits

It was too early to check into the apartment when we arrived. We left out luggage with the check in counter at Easy stay and took tram to Queen Victoria Market

We had pizza lunch at Queen Victoria market. Chen Chen needed to go to loo after eating. Hubby brought him to loo. I waited in the restaurant with Png Png. Oh well, Png Png pooed. He cried as he wanted to change. It was very stressful for me for we had to wait for hubby and Chen Chen to come back. Besides the bags of stuff we bought, I was afraid we would loss hubby and Chen Chen if we moved away. Afterall, I was not familiar with his place and didn't know where is the changing station. I rushed off like mad when hubby and Chen Chen came back. Luckily Australia is a baby friendly place. We found a baby room but a lady was nursing her baby in the room. Hubby knocked at the door as we didn't know someone was inside. The lady called her hubby and her hubby came to tell us his wife was nursing baby. He told us there is a baby changing room in McDonalds fast food restaurant. Immediately I flew to the direction he pointed

We took a tram to South Melbourne market to do marketing.

I wish I had more time to explore the market but I had to quickly buy all the food stuff and go. Both boys slept and hubby's face was black like charcoal.

We took tram back to Easy Stay check in counter and checked into the appointment reserved for us. The check in staff was very kind to give me an apartment at 36 Blessington Street St Kilda which I requested

Melbourne holiday - 18 Sep

Chen Chen will be in Primary 1 next year. This is the last chance we can go holiday not on school holiday season. So, we decided to bring the boys for a holiday to somewhere far. Initially I was looking at New Zealand but found that it's not easy to go there free and easy with little kids. Australia is still our best choice for a child friendly place.

We took A380 to Melbourne and I managed to get upper deck seats. Yeah! We took 9pm flight to Melbourne.

My boys ate bread and 曼头 for dinner before checking in. Png Png took very long to eat 曼头. Chen Chen and hubby ate some of Png Png's 曼头 so that we could check in as soon as possible but Png Png still take a long time to eat . Png Png dropped his last piece of 曼头on the floor in the end. Even then we still don't have time to walk around after checking in. We broaded the plane a short while after we checked in.
