We Not Naughty

Today is Gong Shang's Sports day. The children from lower primary are not involved in the Sports day and need not report to school. I applied leave and brought Chen Chen to watch We Not Naughty in Tampines Mall after reading Catherine's posting in FB that her kids said "sorry mommy, we won't make you angry again." after watching We Not Naughty.   Thought it must be a powerful educational movie. However,  it doesn't work on Chen Chen. It is a very touching movie though. I shed my tears in a few scene :-P 

The show revolves around 2 rebellous teenagers.  One from a rich family, another from a not very well to do family.  Both of them are talented in gadget invention but their talent are not discovered.   Their new lecturer tries very hard to build rapport with the 2 boys and goes all the way out to help them.   In the end, he is accepted by the 2 boys and helps them escape from a loanshake gang.

Home Teaching - Corduroy

Corduroy, a classic book for children.   The story is about a teddy bear in a department store waiting to be bought. His search for a button on his overall that went missing and he was bought by a girl in the end.

Png Png chose a black color construction paper as the cover.   I got him to color the picture of Corduroy.

Teaching Chinese

Besides 四五快读 series, I introduced to Png Png simple short story series as below.  

After he completed the books in the series, he proceeds to these which classified their story books into 3 levels.   Png Png loves reading these story books.   I hope this will groom his love for Chinese language.

Camping at Giant

While we were shoppin in Giant supermarket, we came across sale of camping tent.   My 2 boys  were very excited and plunged into the camping  tent.

Flood

It was raining around noon time. The rain stopped after a short while.

Png Png : Mummy, why does the rain stop?
Mummy : If the rain doesn't stop, there will be flood

Png Png : When it floods, the cars are in swimming pool.

Just when I wonder if he understands the meaning of flood. He got the concept right!
