I like BJG (Baby Jumper Gym) very much. However, the branch in Pasir Ris where Chen Chen had his lesson was closed. Hubby is not keen to go to the one and only branch which is in Bt Batok unless we could enrol to the class taught by teacher April. She was Chen Chen's teacher. She is very good. Alas! She just left BJG not long ago. Thought of trying Julian Gabriel. Not only the location is inconvenient, it doesn't have week end class for little toddler of Png Png's age The other 2 home based play group doesn't accept tods below 2 ...... Either location or timing not right, or Png Png is too young for the programme. Finally, I managed to find a home based enrichment programme Tots Campus for tods at 15 month under The Tots University. The location is not very convenient though
I was very excited on the first lesson. We left tour house later than plan due to delay by Chen Chen. AND, hubby lost his way, in the end we abandoned our car and walked to the condo where the lesson was conducted
When I reached the place, it was 1/2 way through the lesson. We missed the part which was conducted in Mandarin. We did the following
1. Match 6 butterfly pictures Png Png looked at others but didn't do it All he did was crushed the pictures
2. Use cork to print caterpillar as teacher Shirley introduced Eric Carl's book The very hungry caterpillar before we arrived
3. Sort colorful buttons This is a very good activity which strengthens hand and eye coordination, aids development of memory and cognitive powers, teaches colors, counting and improves child's attention span. But all Png Png did was crushed the paper cups
4. Sing raindbow and goodbye song
Png Png saw Eric Carl's book The very hungry caterpillar, he was very excited He screamed and kicked his legs. He recognised the book. We borrowed this book from National Library and he likes the book very much
