Forest adventure at Compass Point

Chen Chen saw Forest adventure in shopping mall a few times and wanted to go for it but never get a chance.   Today, hubby brought Chen Chen to Compass Point immediately after dinner to try Forest Adventure.   I brought Png Png to Compass Point by LRT to meet them after cleaning up.

Lunar New year hamper

Every year, hubby's office draws lot to give out hamper received from supplier to staff.   Hubby is the lucky star this year.

The items in the hamper are :  a bottle of wine, bird nests,  stewed abalone, top shell, broth, green pea snacks.

A night at Marina

There was an education fair at Suntec City.  My boys kept pulling me away from the other booths that I stopped by to take a look except the booth of CIMB Bank and you know why from the pictures

We walked over to Esplanade Bridge to watch Light of the Merlion.   There was a screen placed near the Merlion to create various light projections over the surface of the sculpture.   It was simply beautiful to see Merlion in different lights.

On our way back to the carpark, we passed by Esplanade.   See what the boys do when they saw bean bags ........

Birthday

Today is Png Png's birthday.   I baked cranberry cupcakes for celebration of his birthday at Carpe Diem.   
 
 I completed baking and decorating the cupcakes just in time.  Rushed to Carpe Diem and didn't manage to snap a picture of the cupcake complete with the decoration.   I decorated the cupcake with 2 heart shape bread - 1 plain bread and another whole meal bread sandwiched with jam.   Png Png wanted heart shape decoration, and he is allergic to dairy.   So, I came out with this decoration which doesn't need icing.

My shy baby hid behind me and stood stoned when his peers sang birthday songs (English, Chinese, Malay version of Happy Birthday song) to him.   He was too shy to blow out the candle.

 He was still in daze when I distributed the cupcake and chocolate biscuits

 Finally, he woke up to served his teachers and peers his birthday treat.

Chomp chomp chomp....   So sad to see that not every child appreciates the cupcake I baked.   Everyone love the chocolate biscuit though except Png Png who can't eat the chocolate biscuit.   








Png Png was very earger to give out the birthday goodie to his peers.

Life cycle of butterfly

The title of Unit 4 of the English worksheet that Chen Chen's school does is "A Butterfly is born".  

I am very impressed with the various art and craft works that the school does in order to inculcate the learning for the subject on butterfly

Craft on life cycle of butterfly.   Soya bean was used as egg of butterfly; pipe cleaner as caterpillar and shell pasta as chrysalis.

The school also organised a field trip to bring the children to visit Oh Chin Huat Hydroponic Farms at Nee Soon to let the children see the real buttery and see the stages of butterfly in their life cycle.   The guide brought the children around, explain the facts of butterflies.   The children also answered quizzes and brought back a folder with the information they gathered from the farm.

Birthday celebration at Momiji

My cutie baby will turn 4 in 3 days time.   Yeah!!

As usual, we celebrated his birthday with my family.   Under Chen Chen's influence, Png Png chose to celebrate his birthday at Momiji Japanese buffet restaurant.
